Safety

Many companies say that safety comes first, yet at Bolttech Mannings, we have the processes in place that proven our overall commitment to Safety. Our safety record shows an impressive Experience Mod Rating of .76. But we're not satisfied with being impressive - We know we can do even better. Because accidents occur mainly due to human behaviors and actions, we have a safety philosophy that all accidents and incidents are preventable. This is why we strive to maintain a Target Zero safety program to emphasize safe work behaviors and safe work conditions in coordination with production goals.

Our Safety department is headed by an OSHA certified trainer (1926 and 1910 standards, National Safety Council) with a B.S. degree in Safety and Risk Management. Couple that with nearly a quarter of a century of on-the-job safety program management experience in the construction industry and you can see why BMI has such a strong safety record.

But our commitment goes much deeper than just one person. Our state-certified Safety committee meets each month to discuss companywide safety issues and coordinate with the national operations committee. On the individual level, technicians complete a 10-hour OSHA training course, 8-hour ARSC Basic Plus industry-specific safety course, an average of 40 hours of technical safe operator training plus annual refresher training, and participate in a comprehensive Drug and Alcohol compliance program through multiple Third Party Administrated consortiums. They also complete a thorough NABSC criminal background screening process and must successfully obtain a TWIC card. Our overall safety program has been approved by numerous third-party safety auditing firms including ISNetworld, PICS, PEC Premier, Browz, Veriforce, HASC X-Net, MICCS, Achilles-SWS, and GBRIA.

For us, it comes down to one simple philosophy: Think before You Act. And that's just what we do - on every job with every task.
